Shah Rukh Khan's "Dilwale" earns INRs25 crore on first day

MUMBAI (News Desk) - Despite having faced protests in different parts of India, the latest Shah Rukh Khan starer film "Dilwale" has attracted excellent viewership on the opening day making business from INRs23 crore to 25 crore as compared to Ranveer Singh's "Bajirao Mastani" was bagged INRs12 crore.

The film's leading cast includes SHah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Varun Sharma, Boman Irani, Vinod Khanna and Kabir Bedi. On the other hand Bajirao Mastani has three mega stars Ranveer Singh, Depika Padukon and Piryanka Chopra.

Media reports also suggested that "Dilwale" has gathered a gross collection of about $900,000 from the UAE market on day one which highest ever earning by any Bollywood movie.

Earlier on Friday Indian media reported that demonstrators marched against Shah Rukh Khan in different cities of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh states storming many cinemas screening his film. BJP Yuva Morcha members were also seen protesting against release of film in Jabalpur.

The protesters also burnt the posters of Shah Rukh Khan and film produces Kabir Khan on the occasion.

Euro stands at 297 for buying and 299.5 for selling while British Pound rate is 348.5 for buying, and 352 for selling.

UAE Dirham AED was at 75.25 and Saudi Riyal came down to 73.50.
