Dawn Leaks scandal: Govt decides to remove Tariq Fatemi from his post
ISLAMABAD - After the removal of Pervaiz Rasheed from his post of Information Ministry in Dawn Leaks scandal Tariq Fatemi will also be dismissed from the position of Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs due to the same reason.

"Before the much-awaited verdict in Panama Leaks the name of the PM Nawaz’s Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs has come to the fore in Dawn Leaks scandal," reported Dunya TV on Wednesday.

According to a TV channel report, the government has decided to dismiss Tariq Fatemi from his post because of the allegations that he was the one who had been feeding the news to the reporter about the meeting and had added his own slant to it.

"It is expected that Tariq Fatemi will no longer hold the office in a matter of few days," the TV report added.

It is pertinent to mention here that Dawn Leaks report has been facing a delay for some time.

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar recently stated that a consensus was reached among the committee members on Dawn Leaks investigation report which would be presented to PM Nawaz Sharif in three to four days.

A private TV channel has stated that Tariq Fatemi was allegedly involved in Dawn Leaks matter due to which it has been decided to remove him from the post of Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs.
