Veteran PTV actress Kulsoom Sultan passes away at the age of 68

KARACHI: Renowned veteran actress Kulsoom Sultan has passed away at the age of 68 due to complications during a routine angioplasty.

According to a report by News One, the actress who had been a heart patient for quite some time now she suffered a heart attack which proved to be fatal.

The 68-year-old prominent actress was admitted to a private hospital in Karachi when she failed to recover from the minimally invasive procedure.

She was well known for her work in various Urdu and Sindhi dramas throughout her lifetime and her death is a great loss to the Pakistani television industry.

The late actress began her career as a radio announcer before stepping into the world of TV dramas for PTV.  She was also awarded several accolades for her versatile performances.
