Newborn dies in Sukkur after mother gives birth in rickshaw due to medical negligence

SUKKUR - On Saturday a woman gave birth to a child in a motorcycle rickshaw after being turned away from  Civil Hospital, Sukkur, due to lack of facilities at the hospital. The child could not survive.

The pregnant woman was brought to Civil Hospital with labour pain, where the administration did not admit her due to non-availability of oxygen gas.

The family of the women tried to shift the woman to Paracha Hospital but the lady went into labour in rickshaw.

Sadly, the baby could not survive and died soon after delivery.

The aggrieved family staged a protest against the non-availability of the basic facilities in the hospital and demanded the termination of MS of the hospital.
