Pakistan gains 5th position in ICC T20 ranking

AUCKLAND (Web Desk) - Pakistan Cricket Team has jumped to 5th slot after drawing first blood against New Zealand at Eden Park, Auckland.

Reaching on top of the list is quite possible if Pakistan white wash the hosts in the ongoing T20 series. If the result of series will be 2-1 (Pakistan winning series), Pakistan will secure 5th slot otherwise Pakistan will be dropped to 7th position again.

If New Zealand won the series with 2-1, they will be promoted to 5th position and Pakistan will be dropped down.

White wash against England in United Arab Emirates proved nightmare for Pakistan, and dropped to 6th slot from 2nd after the series. Earlier before the series against New Zealand, Pakistan was further dropped down to the 7th position in the list but now victory in the first T20 match has put them back on 5th slot.

West Indies is first in list, where Australia, Sri Lanka, England, South Africa are on 2nd, 3rd 4th and 5th position respectively.

India is way down in list and standing on 8th, Afghanistan is on 9th and Bangladesh on 10th position.
